UK ITF National Championships

We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to all the clubs, competitors, umpires, and supporters who joined us in Hertfordshire for the highly anticipated National Championships. The event was a resounding success, and it wouldn''''t have been possible without your presence and enthusiasm.

With over 30 clubs in attendance, including our esteemed ITF friends from Greece, Ireland, and the Netherlands, the atmosphere was electric, buzzing with excitement and anticipation. We were thrilled to witness the exceptional talent and dedication on display throughout the day.

For our black belt competitors, the National Championships marked the first of three ranking events that will ultimately determine our 2023/2024 National Champion. The top performers in these events will earn the esteemed opportunity to represent UK ITF at the Europeans next year in Wales. We wish all our black belt competitors the best of luck as they strive towards this goal.

Meanwhile, our colour belts seized the chance to test their abilities against new opponents, further enhancing their skills and gaining invaluable experience. These competitions serve as crucial stepping stones for our colour belts, preparing them for the challenges they will face when they advance to the black belt divisions.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the umpires who worked tirelessly throughout the day, ensuring that each bout was conducted fairly and safely. Their dedication and expertise played an instrumental role in the smooth running of the event. A special mention also goes to our event staff and organisers, whose planning and professionalism contributed to the overall success of the championships.

We would like to inform all instructors that the current rankings have been distributed. We kindly request you to review them for accuracy and reach out to the UK ITF head office if you have any queries or concerns. Your feedback and input are highly valued.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our next national event, which will be the highly anticipated UK ITF training day and awards evening. We look forward to welcoming many of you to this special occasion, where we will come together as a community to train, celebrate achievements, and foster camaraderie.

Once again, we extend our sincere thanks to all participants and supporters who made the National Championships a memorable and successful event for all involved.
